Can Tho – Dong Thap – Sa Dec flower village – Tram Chim NP – Can Tho (L)
Morning Activities:
- At 8.00 am, our guide and driver welcome you at hotel in Can Tho and transfer you to Dong Thap Province and spend 2,5 hours on car to reach Tram Chim National Park.
- En route, you will have a stop at Sa Dec Flower Village to learn more of this traditional flower village in Mekong Delta area.
- Arrive at Tram Chim National Park, learn about a general info of the reserve.
Have lunch with a lot of local Vietnamese cuisines.
Afternoon Activities:
- This afternoon you get on a solar-powered boat to visit Tram Chim National Park – one of four Ramsar sites in Vietnam. This is an international treaty for the conservation and sustainable use of wetlands in Mekong Delta Region.
- Our guide will introduce to a wide range of animals, birds, and plants in Southern Vietnam where you enjoy the natural beauties of floating season in Dong Thap if reaching here on time (normall around August to November yearly).
- There are many bird species which have been put in the Red Book for a long time. The most well-known one is the Red-headed Crane which is considered as one of the last 15 crane species in the world.
And then you go on your trip to experience a distinct eco-system of the national park by a self-rowing boat as well as walk through the trails deep inside the reserve. - Furthermore, you also have a chance to visit a local family to engage in conversation with them. Here you have chance to taste and enjoy the local products made out of lotus. Such as milk, lotus seeds soup (chè sen).
- Also you have chance to join in some local activities such as rowing and fishing on a lotus field.
- After that you leave Dong Thap for return Can Tho.
