Your Cai Be Floating Market Tour Experiences (L)
Morning activities:
Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Then we depart at 7: 45am and head south into the river city of Cai Be, a rural district of Tien Giang province in the Mekong Delta area of Vietnam. Arriving at about 10: 00am, we board our motorized boat to cross the Cai Be Floating Market. Here, we’ll experience how life works in the delta, as we see the intricacies of trade – how retailers purchase products from local farmers.
During our cruise through the city’s isolated canals, we’ll visit a few workshops, see the natives creating pop corn cakes, rice paper cakes, coconut candies and products out of coconut trees. Special thing about the Mekong Delta tour to Cai Be floating market will be the wooden sampan paddling down narrow natural waterways. Stopping at a nearby home to try seasonal fruits. We continue walking throughout the village to get back to our boat that’s waiting to take us to another island for lunch served with lots of Vietnamese’s delicious dishes.
Afternoon activities
Time to unwind and have a short walk to the garden of longan and durian nearby.
We get on board and cruise back to the quay around 2: 00pm. Then we keep walking into AnThai village where folks collect the cassava chips after a complete day drying in the sun.
