8. Some delicious cakes in An Giang

8.1 Tam bi cake

Banh tam bi with coconut milk is one of the specialties in the Southwest region of Vietnam that you must try when coming to the river region. There are many banh tam shops in An Giang. At first glance, a bowl of banh tam bi looks like a bowl of vermicelli with grilled pork and spring rolls, but in fact, underneath are soft, fatty banh tam noodles made from rice flour and tapioca flour.

In addition, pork skin is an indispensable ingredient, the pork skin is cut by machine into small, thin, crispy fibers, mixed with shredded lean pork, with other spices, etc.

8.2 Banh bo thot not (Palm cake)

Mango pickle is a dish originating from Gieng islet, Binh Phuoc Xuan commune, Cho Moi district, An Giang province. To make mango pickle, people choose small young mangoes, peel them, remove the seeds and soak them in water. Then wash them, soak them in salt and rinse them again before marinating.

The reason it is delicious is because the mango pieces are marinated with the right amount of spices.

8.4 Wild vegetable pancakes

Hot pancakes served with 30 types of wild vegetables are specialties on Cam mountain. Each type of vegetable has its own unique flavor and some vegetables are good medicine for health according to folk experience.

As for the pancake, it includes pork belly, bean sprouts and shrimp. When enjoying, the pancake will be eaten with natural vegetables, mixed into a special flavor.

8.5 Crushed Ca Na
