2. How Is Independence Palace Unique?

- April 30, 1975: In the historic turning point of April 30, 1975, a convoy of tanks entered the Independence Palace, especially tank number 843 from Company 4, Battalion 1, Tank Brigade 203, Corps 2, and crashed into the side gate of the Independence Palace. At 11:30 a.m. the same day, Lieutenant Bui Quang Than was the one who planted the flag on the Independence Palace, raising the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam.
