- Route 1: Only for cars, take Noi Bai – Lao Cai highway. From the inner city, you pass Thang Long bridge, turn onto the highway and keep going straight to reach Lao Cai city. On the way, you will pass through Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho provinces.
- Route 2: This route can be used by both cars and motorbikes. From Hanoi, you follow Lang Hoa Lac street, turn onto Highway 21 to Son Tay, cross Trung Ha bridge to Phong Chau. From there continue along road QL32C, DT163, DT151, QL4E to reach Lao Cai city.
- Route 3: This route can be used by both cars and motorbikes. From Hanoi, you follow Lang Hoa Lac street, turn onto Highway 21 to Son Tay, cross Trung Ha bridge to Phong Chau – Phu Tho province. Then, you follow Highway 32C to Yen Bai city. From Yen Bai city, you follow Highway 70 northwest for about 148 km to the Thac Mo ecotourism area.

Starting from the center of Lao Cai city, you follow National Highway 4D east about 9 km and then meet a fork. You continue going straight to enter National Highway 70 to the East for about 6.5 km and then come to another intersection.
