Ho Be Eco-Tourism Area is located in Vinh Hai Commune, Vinh Chau Town, Soc Trang Province, Vietnam. It is about 45 km southeast of Soc Trang City and about 245 km southwest of Ho Chi Minh City.

2. How is Ho Be Ecotourism Area unique?

Ho Be Ecotourism Area owns a 5km long natural beach. With its rustic, wild beauty and a long stretch of fine sand that welcomes gentle waves day and night. This place was originally formed by the erosion of seawater over many years. In addition, there is also a concave area that looks like a large lake that is slowly built up according to the ebb and flow of water, also known as the tide. When the tide rises, the seawater moves deep into the mainland and after receding, it generously leaves behind a long stretch of fine white sand, creating the poetic Ho Be today.

Previously, no one thought that this area would have such a beautiful beach. Because, along hundreds of kilometers of coastline, everywhere is black sand, mud flats or even alluvial mud. According to the locals, Ho Be used to be hidden in the middle of Vinh Hai land and was only later exploited and planted with coastal protection forests. 4. How to get to Ho Be eco-tourism area?

Ho Be eco-tourism area is located at the end of Hau River, so you can get here in many different ways depending on your starting point. If you are in Can Tho city, you can go by motorbike or private car along the Nam Song Hau route with a distance of only about 90km. Because it is not too far, you can go back in a day or schedule a visit to other destinations in Soc Trang.

If you depart from Ho Chi Minh City, you first need to move to Soc Trang city. Here, you can rent a motorbike in Soc Trang to go to Ho Be eco-tourism area in one of the following three ways:

  • First route: From the center of Soc Trang city, you move towards Provincial Road 8. When you reach Tai Van intersection in My Xuyen district, you continue straight for about 55km to get there.
  • Second route: First, you also depart from the center of Soc Trang city and follow Provincial Road 8 to Tai Van intersection, My Xuyen district. From here, you move to Khanh Hoa intersection, turn left through Hoa Dong commune and continue straight to Vinh Hai commune. This route is about 50km long and takes about 2 hours to drive. 
  • Third route: Still from Soc Trang city to Provincial Road 8, but you will move to Lich Hoi Thuong commune, Long Phu district. Then, you follow the national defense dike until you pass My Thanh 2 bridge to reach Vinh Hai commune. Compared to the two above routes, this route is shorter, only about 45km but not as easy to travel.

5.1 Enjoying the fresh natural beauty
