Day 1: Hanoi – Phu Tho – Yen Bai – Nghia Lo – Muong Lo valley. Homestay in Nghia Lo (L/D)
Morning activities:
Start the journey at 7.30 am with our guide and driver, pick up at the hotel in Hanoi and travel to Nghia Lo. At first you pass through National Way No 32 and pass through Lung Lo Pass to get the beautiful view of rice valleys and palm forest along Phu Tho Province. Lung Lo Pass is one of the beautiful passes in Northwest Vietnam with the length of 15km where you can catch the spectacular view in your photography journey to Mu Cang Chai.
Reaching Yen Bai you will also pass through Ach Pass where is the original of Ngoi Pha Stream and have the view of the peaceful Van Chan countryside from the pass as well as the river. Especially just a few kilometers, however, it is foggy on rainy days when crossing the pass. You arrive in Van Chan around 12.00 pm and have a lunch in local restaurant
Afternoon activities:
Start again at 13.30 pm to take a shooting photo in Van Chan to view the panorama of Muong Lo Valley far from where you can catch the panorama of the spreading famous rice fields valley in Nghia Lo. This is the best place to shoot your beautiful photo and you will be surprised by its beauty spreading under the sunlight to the foot of the distance.
Before reaching Nghia Lo you pass through and shoot photos of hundreds of years at Nghia Lo Tea Hill. It is called Shan Tuyet tea – the famous tea of hill tribe people in northwest Vietnam. Also see and take photos at Nghia Lo tea Plantation which is a nice place for shooting the beautiful tea hill in the mountain area.
Arriving at Nghia Lo around 15.00pm and you start your journey to visit the surrounding valley and shoot photos of Muong Lo Valley. After passing through mountainous roads and windy passes, the National shows in your eyes to reach Muong Lo and discover its beauties. The Nam Thia stream lies through the valley.
Have a sightseeing at Muong Lo valley which has the beautiful terrace fields in Nghia Lo. Muong Lo Valley in Nghia Lo Town is the second biggest valley in the mountainous North-West. You can see and meet Thai minority people in the valley, suspension bridges, etc to get more knowledge of local minority people’s life.
Enjoy shooting photos of sunset in Muong Lo valley and can get beautiful photos when the climate is nice.
Check in to the homestay and then you have time to enjoy stunning views of countryside and nature. Also visit local villages, and experience daily life. Have a special dinner with traditional dishes cooked by a Thai professional chef. Overnight at homestay.
