Our driver will welcome you at the hotel in Hoi An and transfer you to Hoi An Silk village and meet the guide for the starting tour of the village. When you arrive, you enjoy the welcome drink with mulberry juice before starting the tour.
At first you will visit the traditional house and discover the history of sericulture, silk unraveling and silk weaving. After that you will discover the Cham Culture. And then you see the collection of Cham mulberry trees and the weaving process of Cham People from the 5th century to the mid-15thcentury. From here you will visit a traditional Vietnamese mulberry garden. Learn how to get the best mulberry leaves, cut into small pieces and hand-feed the silkworms
Next you visit unraveling House: understand how to get silk thread from the cocoon to weave silk fabric. Also has the experience of the job with Cham artisans and craftsmen
Then visit Cham textile House: discover the weaving process of Cham People on short and long wooden looms to have the unique handicraft products. The Champa artisan will guide customers how to weave the brocade, how to move the silk thread to have different beautiful patterns.
Continue to visit Cuu Dien House; Here you can discover pure handicraft silk in the beginning of the 20th century which is preserved till now in Quang Nam Province. And you have the feeling of the original silk threads from the cocoons and its different after process. Experience the silk weaving process to understand how difficult it is to have pure silk products.
Also visit Hoi An Silk Village exhibition to understand the difference between pure silk and fake silk fabric. The variety of silk products here will provide for your shopping and tailoring demand.
