Amazing Hang Tien Exploration

Morning activities:

Our bus driver will collect you from your hotel in Phong Nha, from 7:30 to 8:00 in the morning. You will be in a car around 70 kilometers to our Office. Also you will have a very important safety briefing at the office.

You will pack your essential gear, learn about safety; sign in our Release Form and prepare for your adventure. And then you will trek through pretty peanut and corn fields for 2.5 km to the Rao Nan River. It was chosen for a scene in the Hollywood blockbuster movie named Kong: Skull Islands.

Once you cross the river, you and your team will climb a small hill towards Rat cave. From here you will have a 300m exploration of this dry cave that will amaze you with its outstanding formations. If you are lucky enough, you might glimpse the special sunbeams as natural light shines in from the cave entrance. At noon time you enjoy picnic lunch.

Afternoon & evening activities:

You spend 1.5 hours trekking through Tu Lan jungle to reach Gibbon Cave. You will admire the beautiful sparkling formations in a fantastic way in your adventure time.

And then you will trek back to La Ken campsite around 16:00 pm. Here is the time you enjoy a quick swim to fresh yourself. Have dinner prepared from our team. Overnight at the camping site and enjoy the night in the jungle with thousands of stars.

Morning activities:

Wake up in the jungle, and then have a special way for a new day with activities. After having breakfast, you will trek and climb over Dung hills to get more discovery. And then you continue to trek to reach Bat Cave before noon time.

This is the chance for you to fresh up with a swim through Bat Cave, and on towards its beautiful waterfall, where a splendid lunch awaits you.

Afternoon & evening activities:

This afternoon our guide will lead you to continue your trek though Hung Nhai Valley. It brings you the opportunity to enjoy its fertile valleys; have the fresh air breathe, and enjoy a special feeling every moment. And then you go on the trekking to reach Uy Cave – a young, dry cave, named after one of our safety guide assistants. To adventure in this cave, it requires you to have good rock scrambling skills over a sharp, steep hill of 20m, that leads up to the cave entrance.

Next you will leave Uy Cave at around 15:00 pm, and then you will trek upriver to the Tien campsite. The camping site lies next to a beautiful natural jungle lagoon where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. No better way to take some great photos before the sun goes down.

Have a fulfilling BBQ dinner prepared from the porter team. Spending the night in the jungle and enjoying the wild life in the jungle.

Morning activities:

Wake up in the jungle for the last morning of your adventure journey. Have breakfast by the magnificent green natural lagoon.

Then you start your new day to climb about 1 hour over a field of boulders to reach Hang Tien 1. You trek about 50 meters to go inside the cave entrance. Here you have a chance to witness the beauty of a large chamber which has a beautiful ceiling.

The cave has limestone formations rising like a layer cake of rimstone pools and lush ferns. In fact, this cave is truly a unique specimen. While you explore, you will reach a small skylight in the cave, which allows sunlight to bathe the darkness.

After that you continue deep into Hang Tien 1, climb the ladder, and view the cave exit. Have a picnic lunch here and then continue your trek to Hang Tien 2.

Hang Tien 2 welcomes you with a tiny entrance and a slippery descent. Only 300m inside, and you admire many formations and the vastness which is the largest cave in the Tu Lan Cave System.

Afternoon activities:

After that you say farewell to Hang Tien and the wonders of nature. You head back to the camp to collect all the necessities. Fill in your last moments of the adventure with the return trek back to the road where you enjoy the cold drinks to fresh yourself.

The driver then transfers you back to the office at around 16:00 pm, where you will have time to shower and change into fresh clothes. Say goodbye to the team in Phong Nha, completing the astonishing Amazing Hang Tien Exploration 3-day-2-night journey at 17:30 pm. Hope you enjoy the trip very much.
