Morning activities
Our tour today will start with a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. One of the oldest and most beautiful pagoda in Hue. Next, visit the glorious Imperial Citadel, listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here, visit the imperial city and Forbidden City, the imperial home of Emperors. Researching the different palaces, decorated rooms… along with other landmarks. After visiting this interesting site our trip continues to Thanh Toan village. It’s established in 1741 by officials under King Le Thanh Tong. The village is home to several historic sanctuaries and ancestral homes of families that are local.
Afternoon activities
Stop at Thanh Toan eco restaurant for a welcome beverage and cooking class with our own chef. Learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese special foods. Following the lesson, love what you’ve cooked ! After lunch, visit the old national legacy Thanh Toan Bridge along with an agriculture tools museum in which you will find farming and fishing tools together with lots of intriguing stories of rural village life. The last stop of the tour will probably Be Khai Dinh tomb – a visual representation of the decrease of Vietnamese culture throughout the colonial era. Contrary to Hue’s other tombs, the grandiose concrete construction, built between 1920 and 1931, is a synthesis of Vietnamese and Europeans components.
We will be back at the hotel around 5:30 pm after an amazing day sightseeing and cooking tour in Hue.
