Bird Watching Tour at Van Long Nature Reserve

Morning activities:

Our guide and driver pick up you at hotel in Hanoi to depart for Ninh Binh, with a travel time of about 2 hours.

En route you will visit Hoa Lu Temple to discover more of Vietnam history where worship Kings Dinh and Le.

Have lunch at a local restaurant with traditional dishes.

Afternoon activities:

Upon arriving at Van Long Nature Reserve – known as the “bay without waves”. You will check in at a peaceful eco-resort in the middle of the mountains and forests. When the sun sets, it is time for you to board a bamboo boat to explore the reserve, admire rare birds such as storks, herons, kingfishers and even rare langurs.

Special note: From May to July yearly is the Lyly flower season blooming and one of the best times to discover Van Long Narure Reserve and wetland to enjoy Lyly flower and birds. However, the best time is from November to April next year- dry season, when storks land here and make amazing poetic scenery.

Evening activities:

You will return to the resort to rest, enjoy dinner with local specialties and spend the night in a quiet space. Overnight at hotel in Van Long.

Morning activities:

You start the day by waking up early to join the bird watching journey at the most ideal time of the day. Our guide will take you on a boat deep into the reserve to feel the sounds of nature and watch flocks of birds flying in the morning mist.

Then, you return to the resort for breakfast and a short rest. Continue the trip to Kenh Ga floating village – where people live on the river with a rustic culture amidst wild and majestic nature.

Afternoon activities:

After enjoying lunch at a restaurant with a view of majestic limestone mountains. You will have free time to stroll in the countryside, take sunset photos or simply relax in the fresh air.

Evening activities:

You enjoy a delicious dinner at the restaurant. Then, you rest and stay overnight in Ninh Binh.

Morning activities:

You will have breakfast at the resort’s restaurant. Then, you check out and depart for Tam Coc – a famous place known as “Ha Long Bay on land“. Experience a boat ride down the Ngo Dong River, winding through majestic limestone caves and lush green rice fields. Tam Coc is ranked as a special national monument and is part of the Trang An World Natural Heritage.

Moreover, you continue to visit Phat Diem Cathedral, a unique architectural work where attracts a large number of tourists every year.

Afternoon activities:

After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, you have a short break before departing back to Hanoi.

On the way, you have the opportunity to visit a traditional craft village famous for its hand-embroidered products or unique handicrafts.

End the tour in the late afternoon in Hanoi with many memorable memories of the poetic land of Van Long.
