As in some my answers, Mu Cang Chai is the newly open destination in north Vietnam. Therefore, Mu Cang Chai accommodation is mainly homestay and some guesthouses in town centre.
There are only two hotel similar 4 star in Tu Le and Mu Cang Chai. The condition of homestay is only standard with mattress and pillow. There are some private rooms, however, all have share bathroom in stilthouse.
Can we see local Mu Cang Chai market of minority people?
Yes, you can. However, Mu Cang Chai market is not the famous point here. It is only normal daily market as in other places in mountain area. When you really would like to discover the special of minority market, you should travel to Ha Giang Province where is famous for hill tribe markets on weekends or lunar calendar date called ” Cho Lui”
How is Mu Cang Chai in April?
Mu Cang Chai in April is the preparing for the new rice season. It is the time for local people make land, draw water to hill fields to grow rice. Although it is not the most beautiful month, it brings you the special scenery and atmosphere while visiting.
When is the Mu Cang Chai harvest season?
Mu Cang Chai harvest season is on September till October. With remote and not famous points for terrace fields in Mu Cang Chai, local people harvest the rice hill since mid-September. Some famous and beautiful for photography shooting, the terrace fields will be harvest at the end till mid-October.
