Day 1: Hanoi - Cuc Phuong - Discover the Thousand-Year-Old Cho Tree - Khanh Village. O/N at stilt house in Cuc Phuong (L/D)
Morning activities:
Origin Vietnam’s car and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi, depart for Cuc Phuong National Park – the first and most famous primeval forest in Vietnam, home to thousands of rare plants and animals.
The first stop is the Primate Rescue Center – a place to preserve endangered primates. Continuing to the center of the national park, you will begin your trekking journey through the forest to visit the Prehistoric Man Cave and Thousand-Year-Old Tree – a majestic symbol of the old forest.
Afternoon activities:
After a picnic lunch under the shade of ancient trees, the group continues trekking through winding ups and downs of the forest for about 6 hours. At the end of the journey, you will arrive at Khanh village – home to the Muong people in a peaceful valley in the middle of the deep forest.
Evening activities:
Join the night forest exploration activity (19:00 – 22:00):
- Learn about nature conservation, observe fireflies, and rare animals such as civets, wild cats, otters, etc.
- Explore the mysterious nocturnal forest ecosystem.
Then, enjoy dinner with the locals and stay overnight in a traditional stilt house in Cuc Phuong.
