Sapa 3 Day Itinerary

Night before Day 1: Night Train Hanoi to Lao Cai. O/n on Train

At 20.00 our guide and driver welcome you at hotel in Hanoi and transfer you to train station for taking night train to Lao Cai on AC soft sleeper coach 4 berths (Optional with extra charge: can upgrade into VIP cabin 2 berths only). The train leave Hanoi at 22.00. Overnight on train.

Fullday activities:

Early morning you arrive in Lao Cai train station at 6.00 and our guide in Sapa welcome you at train station and take you to a small hotel for shower after a night on train to fresh yourself.

Have breakfast at hotel.

Then our guide and driver in Sapa will pick up you and transfer you to Sapa town. Send 45 minutes on car from Lao Cai to Sapa and pass through the mountain road and see more mountain beauties.
First you begin to discover Sapa by trekking to Cat Cat village of 3km from Sapa town, up and down hill to have some fun in the beautiful rice fields, Hidro – electric power station, traditional handicraft village of Hmong minority people and much more!

Have lunch at restaurant, check in hotel.

In the afternoon you will enjoy and trek up Ham Rong Mountain to have the panorama of Sapa town with cloudy surrounding the summit. In the morning and late afternoon the image of Sapa in fog you can see clearly from Ham Rong mountain right in town center.

Back hotel and free to have your own dinner.

Evening is your free time to experience around Sapa town center to enjoy its nightlife with BBQ food, Sapa cente rmarket, etc. Overnight at hotel

Morning activities:

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning you have another day to discover Sapa more. At 9.00 our guide and driver and transfer uphill along the national road 4D to reach Silver waterfall after 30 minutes on car.

You spend time to visit this site and walk up the steps to the high elevation for marvelous scenery to admire the natural beauties. You also can view the deep valley with the terrace rice fields far from.
Next you will visit Love Waterfall and enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountain area within the area of Hoang Lien National Park.

Afterward, you will continue your trip few kilometers to reach Heaven Gate and Tram Ton Pass at the height 2684 meters of sea level. It is highest mountain pass in Vietnam and you spend your walking time around here to get the beautiful scenery of mountain scapes.

Continually your journey to reach O Quy Ho and pay a visit at some vegetables, flowers and fruits farm for more experience and discover its beauties.

Afternoon activities:

Have lunch at restaurant.

Afternoon is the time for you to take cable car for you and you are free to visit Fansipan Mountain. You are free to discover as much as possible here and conquer the summit of Fansipan Mountain.

Optional: If you would like our guide travel with you to Fansipan Mountain you will pay cable car ticket for guide with additional charge.

And then take cable car back Sapa town. Free to have your own dinner.

Spend more night to discover around Sapa town with night market and enjoy special of Sapa.

Overnight at hotel.

Optional: If you would like to spend more time at different minority village you can change Silver Waterfall, Love Waterfall and O QUy Ho Pass into Ta Phin village to get more experience of village scenery as well as the special cultures of Red Dao minority people.

Travel here you can learn about as well as try it for the famous Red Dao herbal medicine bath which is very good for health. This is a great experience at the village for your day trip today. More visiting around Ta Phin village and experience its beautiful sceneries.

Morning activities:

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning Drive out Sapa town to Coc Ly market with the distance 95 km and spend around 1 hour and 45 minutes on car to reach the market.

Note: If you travel from Lao Cai it takes you 1 hour with distance 60km.

Have a stopover halfway down the river to visit Trung Do, a village of the Tay minority people. Here you have the time to explore the farms where they grow exotic chillis and jack fruit.

Reaching the market you can enjoy your time at the market, walk around, bargain and take in the sights and sounds of local life. Scarves, clothes, decorations and other items made of tho cam (ethnic fabric) on sale at the market. You also see young and old Hmong women, wearing skirts and hats with different types of embroidered flowers are crowding the market

After visiting the market you will take a short drive to the Chay river. Sail down the gently flowing waters, lined by corn and vegetable fields, passing beautiful villages, impressive waterfalls, gorges and caves as you journey downriver.

More sail a further 15 minutes downstream to Bao Nhai village of Tay people for more visiting and discover.

Afternoon activities:

Have a lunch at local foodstall to taste local foods.

This afternoon you spend more time to visit the local village around Bac Ha before back Lao Cai Train Station.

Free to have your own dinner.

Get on train for taking night train back Hanoi on AC soft sleeper coach 4 berths. Overnight on train. You arrive in Hanoi Train station next morning and our guide and driver pick up you at train station to your hotel in Hanoi. Say goodbye you. Wish you a great time with us!
