Explore Sapa Villages

The Night before: Night train to Lao Cai – SaPa: Origin Travel’s staff pick you up in the hotel then drive to Hanoi station for a night train to Sapa (overnight on the train, the cabin with 4 berths, soft sleeper and air-conditioning), you can book the whole cabin or you can share with 2 other persons. There are several trains departing from Hanoi station between 7pm to 10pm, the journey is about 8,5 hours, the end in Lao Cai Station.

Well! take a different experience at remote villages in Sapa for having different minority groups in Sapa and surrounding. The trekking time through the villages will give you deep impression of daily life and beautiful landscapes

• Guide and driver welcome you at Lao Cai train station and have a morning shower at a mini hotel. Have breakfast at local restaurant before travel to Sapa town.
• Leave Sapa town, you will take a spectacular driver about 2 hours and then have a short walk 3km to visit Blue H’Mong people village.
• You have a picnic lunch en route.
• Afternoon is filled with short drive through beautiful rice terraces’ fields, next is the easy trek of 4km to visit Ha Nhi hill tribe people in Y Ty village, where you have an overnight at friendly family.
• Have an opportunity to learn of their local life, culture as well as house architecture building.

Note: That you should avoid to visit this village on Sunday because local authorities work off and we cannot get the permission to visit the village.

Wonderful journey! Today is a chance for you to discover the beauties of village fields as well as the hidden parts of villages.

• Have breakfast with the family and talk with them about the local life.
• You leave the house and the driver transfers you through many beautiful parts hidden of Lao Cai.
• Have a stop en route to make more walks through old forest and visit herbal tree plantation plus visit black H’Mong houses.
• Have a picnic lunch at the village.
• Return Sapa town and have an overnight at hotel.

One more Trek! Are you ready? We are! you have one more day to trek and experience Hmong village at Cat Cat village and have the whole Sapa town from Ham Rong Moutain’s summit. This is really amazing!

• Now trek to Cat Cat village of 3km from Sapa town, up and down hill to have some fun in the beautiful rice fields, Hidro – electric power station, traditional handicraft village of Hmong minority people and much more!
• Enjoy and trek up Ham Rong Mountain to have the panorama of Sapa town with clouds surrounding the summit. In the morning and late afternoon the image of Sapa in fog you can see clearly from Ham Rong mountain right in town centre.
• Feel free to enjoy traditional music show of tribe people either in Cat Cat village or Ham Rong Mountain.
• Take a night train back to Hanoi and spend the night on the train. You arrive back in Hanoi around 5.30 am next morning and find your way back to your hotel in Hanoi.
