Morning activities:

Drive out of Sapa town to Coc Ly market with a distance of 95 km and spend around 1 hour and 45 minutes on a car to reach the market.

Note: If you travel from Lao Cai it takes you 1 hour with distance 60km.

Have a stopover halfway down the river to visit Trung Do, a village of the Tay minority people. Here you have the time to explore the farms where they grow exotic chillies and jackfruit.

Reaching the market you can enjoy your time at the market, walk around, bargain and take in the sights and sounds of local life. Scarves, clothes, decorations and other items made of tho cam (ethnic fabric) on sale at the market. You also see young and old Hmong women, wearing skirts and hats with different types of embroidered flowers are crowding the market

After visiting the market you will take a short drive to the Chay river. Sail down the gently flowing waters, lined by corn and vegetable fields, passing beautiful villages, impressive waterfalls, gorges and caves as you journey downriver. More sail a further 15 minutes downstream to Bao Nhai village of Tay people for more visiting and discovery. Have lunch at a local food stall to taste local foods.

Afternoon activities:

You leave for Sapa town and once again pass through the beautiful mountain-scape. You arrive in Sapa late afternoon and get a great experience and you’re not ready to forget.

Note: You can make a change to visit Muong Hum Sundays market, Coc Lu Tuesdays market, Can Cau Saturday’s market, Bac Ha Sundays market and can end the tour at Lao Cai train Station for night train back to Hanoi.
