Itinerary Details

Day 1: Hanoi - Duong Lam Ancient Village - Ha Giang. O/n At Homestay In Ha Giang (L/D)

Morning activities:

Our guide and driver will pick you up from Hotel in Hanoi. Then say goodbye to bustling city for Ha Giang. But before travel to Ha Giang our first stop will be visit Duong Lam village. It’s one of the oldest village in Vietnam. Walking around the village you will have chance to know more detailed about Vietnamese culture also architecture. Also here you will feel the taste of rural life as you meet the local people who reside there and enjoy home cooked local meal.

Afternoon activities

After lunch, you’ll then follow the twisting river from Duong Lam into the hills of Ha Giang, enjoying incredible views along the way. You’ll have dinner and stay overnight in Ha giang.

Day 2: Ha Giang - Quan Ba (Heaven Gate) - Dong Van. O/n In Dong Van (B/L/D)

Morning activities

Today you may encounter some spectacular landscapes. After acquiring an obligatory permit at the Immigration Office, you may begin your trip to Dong Van through a string of long passes. You’ll have lunch en route at the small, but the beautiful mountain town of Tam Son. Where we will stop for lunch.

Afternoon activities

Then, you may head to the Royal King of the H’mong Palace, a fortress constructed by a local chief, Vuong Chinh Duc, who had been allied with the French against the Viet Minh. The palace, built in the early 1900 was designed from the early Chinese architectural design of the Person Qing era. It had been made from materials like solid stones, wood and terracotta tiles. After continuing your trip, you may arrive in Dong Van around 17: 00 in time for dinner and for an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 3: Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Vac - Bao Lac. O/n In Bao Lac (B/L/D)

Moring activities

Your morning will begin with a visit to the colorful marketplace of Dong Van. Where locals do their shopping before returning to their mountain villages. You’ll then climb a pass up to the French Fortress of Pu Lo, built in 1890 and evacuated in 1945, from which you enjoy a stunning view of the whole region. The trek 7 km to Thien Huong village, this is a little village based from the valley adjacent to the boundary with China. It’s also inhabited by Tay ethnic minority, we then geting back to Dong Van for lunch.

Afternoon activities

along with the road climbs 10 km up to the top of the Ma Pi Leng Pass, through a distinctive landscape of rocky limestone peaks and gaping valleys. You’ll descend into Meo Vac Valley to the town of Bao Lac. Where we will have diner and spend the night here.

Morning activities

After breakfast we will take the mountain road from Bao Lac to Cao Bang. En route to Cao Bang, we’ll share our secret path with you, a magnificent small road snaking throughout the hills in the Tay village of Cho Ra then go down to Ba Be National Park.

Afternoon activities

Once have lunch in the local restaurant we’ll then visit Hua Ma’s cave before continue traveling to Pac Ngoi village. Where you’ll be welcomed by our incredibly friendly Tay household in their traditional stilt home. Have dinner with family and enjoy the night inside Ba Be National Park.

Day 5: Ba Be Lake - Hanoi (B/L)

Morning activities

After breakfast in the homestay. Say goodbye to local host for a mazing night. Then you’ll go on foot to Bo Lu Quay where you’ll board a boat excursion around Ba Be Lake. You are able to unwind on board, do some wild drops or if you have to cool down, you can leap to the cool, clean waters for a refreshing swim. As you float down the Nang River, you are able to take in the scene of the surrounding karsts adorned with patches of wild vegetation and inhabited by all kinds of interesting creatures. Look for the rainbow of butterflies that flit across the sky or listen to the tender song of the many species of birds in the park. The boat will come to Puong Cave in which you can learn more about the stalactites and stalagmites that are a result of the erosion of the river on the karst as well as looking out to the bat colony a few thousand strong. After your, exploration of the lake, you can rest on the drive back to Hanoi. Also we have lunch at local food stall

Afternoon activities

Taking in the beautiful scenery on the way to Hanoi. Our Ha Giang and Ba Be Lake tour finish at the hotel in Hanoi around 18:00. Hope you have a wonderful experience. Happy Travel!
