Ha Giang trekking tour in Hoang Su Phi rice terraces

Morning activities:

At 7.30 am Leave at …. your hotel in Hanoi in the morning with our guide and driver to Ha Giang Province – the Northern one in Vietnam where it is famous for mountain landscapes, terrace fields and flower seasons, etc. You will travel through mountain scenery for the best scenery of famous Vietnam tea plantations. Have lunch at a local food-stall.

Afternoon activities:

You continue the trip to the most breathtaking place in Vietnam. Have the chance for a stopover at some places en route to take photos and chill out its beauties of villages. You will arrive in Ha Giang in the afternoon. Because Ha Giang still requires a permit, our guide will make the permission at the small office in the town. You will have the admiring beautiful mountain scapes and pass through stunning passes, rolling mountains and valleys.

And then you will travel ahead to Hoang Su Phi (70 km from Ha Giang) which is the most beautiful place in Summer – the time of rice crop. In May beginning of rainy season and then September and October is the most beautiful time for photographers look like a vivid picture, with different colors

Check in at the hotel.

If you still have time you can walk around Nam Hong village to discover more of the local Red Dao people and their culture. Have dinner at a resort. Overnight at hotel

Afternoon activities:

After breakfast at the lodge, today you will spend full day to discover Hoang Su Phi Terrace field. You will make a trekking route around 3 hours from Nam Hong village to Nậm Khòa village

And here is the chance to trek via rice field terrace, tea hill, bamboo forest and Red Daos villages as well as enjoy rice terrace fields. Have lunch with a local family.

Afternoon activities:

Afternoon continues more trek to village and enjoy the beauties of terrace fields view and villages from Nam Khoa to Nam Ai village (belong to Nam Son commune)

After that you trek back to the main road and the driver transfers you to Panhou Retreat Resort. Check in hotel.

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning our guide and driver will welcome you at the hotel and transfer you to Ban Luoc Village to discover more of the beauties of rice terrace fields. Have lunch at local

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon you spend more time to reach Ban Phung village – 42 km from Ban Luoc village. Here you have a chance to discover Hoang Su Phi Terrace field. Depending on your health you can walk inside villages to discover more of local landscapes and different terrace fields. And then the driver transfers you back to the resort. Have dinner at the hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Morning activities:

After breakfast at the hotel, This morning you leave Hoang Su Phi Lodge and travel back to Ha Giang (75 km and take around 2 hours by car).

You will travel ahead to Khuoi My Hamlet – Phuong Do Commune to discover the unique Mossy House which was created from years of local people. Now only this village has this type of house. (photo as below). Have lunch at local food stall

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon you continue to Quan Ba and will have a chance to pass through Bac Sum Pass which is well known as 6 attractive passes in Ha Giang to conquer and then continue to Quan Ba.

You will have the admiring beautiful mountain-scapes and pass through stunning passes, rolling mountains and valleys of Heaven Gate Quan Ba, Twin Mountain in Quan Ba and visit Nam Dam Village where is famous tourism village in Quan Ba and visit the museum of Nam Dam village. Check in for a homestay. Have dinner at the homestay and overnight at homestay.

Morning activities:

Have breakfast at a stilt house. This morning you enjoy more time around the homestay to get the fresh air of the mountainous village. And then you say goodbye the family, you leave Quan Ba for Dong Van. You will also have chance to pass through Tham Ma Pass which is well known as the spectacular and attracted pass in Ha Giang . If Today is the Lunar Calendar it is Dog date so you can have a chance to visit Pho Cao Market – which is only crowded on Dragon Date and Dog date to learn more of local hill people trading their product.

Next proceed the trip in Dong Van you will see imposing pine forest at a Hmong village and visit H’Mong Vuong Duc Chinh Palace or call Vua Meo Palace. This is the place of the powerful Vuong family. The palace was the store for opium and weapons in the past and visiting it will give you the glimpse of Hmong Royal life in the past. After independence the palace was evacuated in 1950 and the descendants of this influential H’mong family now live in France and Canada.

Have lunch on the way.

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon you continue the journey and visit Dong Van Rock Plateau to get its speciality and get more enjoyment of its beauties. Dong Van Plateau is also an area that has been seen as an unique and diverse mountainous geo-ecosystem in Ha Giang. Continue your trip to visit Tam Giac Mach Flower Garden also known as “triangle oat” to enjoy the special flower of Ha Giang in November.

And if time is permit you can conquer Lung Cu Flower Flag is situated at 1,700m above the sea level, at the summit of Rong Mountain where you can touch the north pole of Vietnam and has seen the border with China. Next you will continue down the sweeping roads until you arrive in Dong Van late afternoon. Check in hotel

Evening activities:

Get around Dong Van ancient town, check in at a hotel, have dinner at a local restaurant. Here is the chance for you to chill out in Dong Van. Interact with local minority people to understand more about their life and culture at Dong Van town centre. Overnight at the hotel.

Morning activities:

Have breakfast at homestay, this morning you will travel to Dong Van centre market (crowded everyday) to see local people trading the local products. Here is the chance for you to learn more about the local minority people and buy the fascinating handmade goods and special products. Then you will visit Lo Lo Hmong village to discover more of local minority people where you can touch the local life.

Then you will hit the road to get the experience at one of the most spectacular roads in the whole of Vietnam, especially Ma Pi Leng Pass. At the height of 2000 meters, the Ma Pi Leng Pass clings to the side of the undulating mountains which gives the spectacular views of the valleys and terraced fields. All decorate the wonderful scenery along the mountainsides. Also you have a chance to have a boat trip on Nho Que River to view the beautiful scenery of the mountain area. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon you will leave Dong Van and continue driving you through zigzag down into Meo Vac Valley. Have more discover the beauties of village in Meo Vac and then travel ahead to Bao Lac Town of Cao Bang Province. Check in for a homestay. You spend more time around the village’s closed homestay to get more discovery. Have dinner with the family.

Evening is the time you are free to wander around the village. And discover the nightlife of local people and get your own experience.

Have breakfast at homestay. You enjoy the fresh air around the homestay to get your experience.

At 8.00 am Our guide and our driver will pick you up at homestay for the direct journey to the forest of Ba Be National Park. The distance for a drive is approximately 150 miles (230 kilometers).

Afternoon activities:

Then drive back to Ha Noi after visiting Hua Ma cave. Have lunch in a local restaurant on the way. Our trip will arrive in Ha Noi at about 5:30pm. Hope you have a wonderful experience. Happy Travel!
