Lai Chau And Mu Cang Chai Terrace Fields

Morning activities:

Leave Sapa town in the morning with our guide and driver for Tam Duong – Lai Chau. You will have a visit at Tram Ton pass after traveling through windy roads to get the stunning views of the valleys. It’s great for passing through the spectacular pass and get the amazing scenery and zigzag mountain road to reach Tam Duong.

You also have a chance to conquer one of the spectacular passes in North Vietnam which most adventure people love to do.

Arrive in Tam Duong and spend more time visiting the tea hills and limestone mountains with beautiful scenery and discover more of Flower Hmong and Giay minority people. Have lunch at a local food stall to taste local foods.

Afternoon activities:

Continuing the trip to visit Ban Giang village where is the home of Giay people and then follow a smaller trail to reach Hon Village – the home of Lu minority people. The village offers you the opportunity to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere at the place which is still less touristy.

Check in for a homestay. Have dinner with the family and interact with local people to learn more of their culture. Overnight at a stilt-house at Hon village.

Morning activities:

Wake up early and get the morning atmosphere at the mountain village, enjoy the daily life of local people here. Have breakfast at home and then continue your trip to visit around Ban Hon village to get more experience of minority people. Continually the trip to Na Tam village to catch the beautiful tea hills and wonderful scenery of the mountains.

And then go ahead to Than Uyen where it is one of the beautiful spots for terrace fields and it pleases your desire for shooting beautiful photos. You arrive in Mu Cang Chai centre and have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon & evening activities:

Afternoon is the time you discover Kim Noi village where is one of beautiful spot for terrace field – 8 km from Mu Cang Chai town where offers you the beautiful view for having wonderful photo as well as touch local culture of minority people here.

Next you visit and take photograph Che Cu Nha Rice Terrace Field of Hmong people with the famous Shoe shapes rice hill. Back your homestay and have dinner with the family.

Evening is the time you spend with the family to share their life, culture as well as learn more of daily life and work. Overnight at homestay at the stilt house with mattress and pillow.

Morning activities:

You wake up and take a photo of sunrise if the weather is fine and sunny at San Nhu village – 2 km from Mu Cang Chai town where you can catch beautiful scenery of terrace fields that look like Mong Ngua “Horseshoe”. Have breakfast on the way.

Then visit and take photographs at De Xu Phinh – it was recognized as the national landscape of Vietnam in 2007 where it has famous and nicest terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai District.

Continue the trip to enjoy and shoot photos at La Pan Tan village which is one of the beautiful sightseeing terraces and famous Mam Xoi Hill view point.

Special note: You must walk 5km from main road to Mam Xoi hill or can have a support motorbike to reach the village and then can have a short walking distance. Have lunch at a restaurant.

Afternoon activities:

You leave Mu Cang Chai in the afternoon and travel back to Sapa town. Once again you pass through Tram Ton pass and get more view from your car. Arrive in Sapa late afternoon and have an enjoyable experience time to Lai Chau and Mu Cang Chai terrace field!
