2-week Vietnam tour for families

On arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. You will be sunny welcome by our guide and transferred to the hotel in the downtown with useful information from our local guide. After Check in the hotel and free on your own to walk around the city center. In the evening, have welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Morning activities

Begin our trip to the Cu Chi by departing at around 8am from your hotel. Then we travel through the countryside which was once a stronghold of the Viet Cong. Upon arrival, watch a short video about what life was like for soldiers during the war. The cramped tunnels were central to a few of the war’s strategic operations, including the famous 1968 Tet Offensive, and they didn’t escape damage. American B52 bombers dropped hundreds of missiles leaving huge tell-tale craters behind.

The tunnels served not only as living quarters, but as supply routes and hospitals for thousands of guerilla fighters. Today they are viewed by some as a testimony to the Vietnamese people’s resiliency. Also In Cu Chi, you will have opportunity to buy the bullet and try to fire off an AK47, MK16 or machine guns at the nearby shooting range. Leave Cu Chi tunnels after lunch then we get back to the Car / Van transfer to Ho Chi Minh City.

Afternoon activities

Then start our day visiting two special iconic architectural landmarks of Saigon. The Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. It built between 1877 and 1883. The cathedral still remains an active church with services each day. It’s also very favored backdrop for Vietnamese wedding photographs.

From here, we will take a short walk to the Opera House. From a bomb shelter to housing the parliamentary Lower House. It’s had an interesting history. Restored in 1995 the Opera House has returned to its roots and is once again a theatre.

Then, our trip continue to visit the Reunification Palace. It’s once a symbol of the South Vietnamese Government. It was here on 30 April 1975, that the war ended when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its gates. See the war room, the banquet hall and the presidential office with the unusual gifts which have been received. Then we keep enjoy the the War Museum. Where our tour guide will tell the story of the city’s darkest and most tragic time during the Vietnam War. The museum displays of military aircraft, many photographs and weaponry …

Then we get back to hotel for rest. You are free as your own in the evening.

Morning activities

Our driver will welcome & pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Then say goodbye bustling City Ho Chi Minh for the 1.45 hour drive to Ben Tre. On arrival, board your sampan boat and meet our crew members who will introduce to you on your overnight waterway trip. The sampan boat will take you to Phong Nam village, where you will have chance to take a rowing sampan boat through the small canals. Especially which are covered green by the water coconut plants.

Stop at a local house to taste the tropical fruits and chat with the farmer. Visit the rice noodle factory before starting your bike trip around the village. Return to your boat and enjoy lunch onboard while you cruise to Sa Dec town.

Afternoon activities

On the way travel to Sa Dec we will stop for a visit at the floating fish farm. It’s a great experience the local river culture. Then our trip head to Long Trung Village. Where we will stop for biking to explore more of the daily life and the beauty of Tra Tan canals. This is an other place offers a great opportunity for you to interact with the friendly locals.

Morning activities

Hello new day. Breakfast will be served onboard while cruising towards Sa Dec City and we will start to explore this charming town. Where it is the setting up for the film ‘The Lover’, based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Marguerite Duras. It’s beautiful story about French girl who falls in love with Huynh Thuy Le. Also we will visit his family home as well as the high school where Marguerite’s mother was a teacher. You will also visit the beautiful Temple Kien An.

After that, we will continue our trip with cycling through the village of An Phu Dong. For hundreds of years this village has provided Saigon with its daily flower supply.

Afternoon activities

Meet your driver on land. Later on transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City for flight to Hue. Pick up and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hue.

Morning activities

Our trip will be start from your hotel in Hue City with our Tour guide & Driver (around 8:30am). Then transfer to Visit the Thien Mu Pagoda. After that our trip continue to visit Tombs of King Khai Dinh and King Tu Duc. Come back to Hue for lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon activities

After lunch at local restaurant, continue to visit the Imperial City, which is located in the Citadel. It’s built in the early 19th century. Explore the Thai Hoa Palace, with its spacious hall and ornate roof of huge timbers supported by 80 carved and lacquered columns. See the Halls of the Mandarins. Especially the Nine Dynastic Urns and the site where the Forbidden Purple City once stood. After that we travel to Dong Ba market where you will understand more about the royal citizen life. Morning activities:

This morning departure for Hoi An on property transfer, on the best way to stop to visit the large mountain pass of Hai Van. One of the most beautiful pass in Vietnam also Lang Co beach. The lagoon far below with Da Nang spread out.

Afternoon activities:

Arrive in Hoi An, explore the historical Hoi a city on a walking tour in Hoi An around the old sections with a visit some famous tourist site in Hoi An City. Such as Phuc Kien Communal House, Tan Ky historical Business house, Japanese covered Bridge, and Phung Hung Ancient Trading House. You may also wish visit one of the lantern making workshops in Hoi An and possess a garments tailor made.

When making the plan to discover Hoi An without really into guided tours, this is the definitely the perfect trip for you. This is the new way to discover some of the most famous places in Hoi An and its surrounding countryside. This is a test of your navigational, investigative and negotiation skills. By this tour, our guide will take you to hunt challenge to discover Hoi An and the countryside to discover more of interesting things for famous places with a lot of fun.

In order to fulfill your mission, you will have to find specific places in Hoi An (need using a map) and answer some different questions. Some of the questions and/or tasks will require you to take some photos or even try traditional Vietnamese foods. All the questions are related to famous places in Hoi An and will give you the chance to interact with the local people.

Next you continue the trip on bicycle to Tra Que Village. Our guide will give you some information about Tra Que and you will meet the local farmers. Here is also the perfect chance to spend some time preparing the soil with them.

After that you continue your journey with a ride to Hoi An, exploring the beautiful countryside.

Once you have finished your mission, you will meet our tour guide to check and correct your answers (and photos). When everyone finishes and all answers have been checked and corrected, the guide will announce the winner who will receive a local special gift.

You will have a refreshing drink before heading back to your hotel. It is definitely a fun experience that you will remember for a long time!

Today is a free day on your own. You may take the bike from your hotel, bike around the ancient town, bike further to the countryside, or to the beach nearby. Taste as many local food as you prefer. Overnight in Hoian.

You are free until our driver pick up and transfer to Danang airport for flight to Hanoi. When you arrival Hanoi our Hanoi Local guide will pick up and transfer to hotel and free on your own to discover the Old Quarter and taste very delicious local cuisine. Overnight in Hanoi.

Morning activities:

Our guide and driver welcome you at hotel in Hanoi city after breakfast for starting the day trip to visit this 1000 years city. First of all you will visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Where you can see the final residence of the great president Uncle Ho. Visit Stilt house that built as tribe house for the president lived in the duration 1958 to 1969.

One Pillar pagoda in the campus next to Ho Chi Minh complex. You will have chance to visit the unique pagoda in Asia. Its special architecture of tower built in the middle of square lake to get more Vietnam culture and religious.

Ho Chi Minh mausoleum is also a site for you to visit and get more knowledge of this great person. Not only of Vietnam and the World. Lunch at restaurant to enjoy traditional foods in Hanoi.

Afternoon activities:

In the afternoon your trip continue with the Temple of Literature. The first university in Vietnam and then continue exploring Museum of Ethnology – the interesting museum in Hanoi where shows 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. It is the best way you can learn about Vietnam.

Water puppet show in Hanoi is a great experience for your time at the city to learn more of this special art of Hanoi and Vietnam.

Note: All museums in Hanoi are closed on Monday & Ho Chi Minh mausoleum is closed on Monday, Friday, the whole month of October and November.

Morning activities:

Travel out Hanoi’s Old Quarter area around 8:00 am on shuttle bus (optional: you can book a private car or arrange by yourself) to Halong Bay. It takes 3,5 hours to reach Halong Bay. Embark at Hon Gai International harbor at noon time.

Afternoon activities:

• Make check-in Prince Junk (2 cabins or 4 cabins) for private or share junk with some people. This is one of the best for Vietnam family holiday. Enjoy welcome drink & cruise briefing.
• You have lunch on junk while the cruise leaves the harbor to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay.
• The cruise takes you to Cap La, Tra San where you do kayaking and admire the beautiful of limestone islands. Thanks to the small junk you can sail through the bay and get closer with the nature and island than big cruise. It will be the great experience if travel on a big cruise will not get.
• After that you back the junk for swimming or relaxing. Have dinner on board

Evening activities:

Have your free time to enjoy the bay at night or simply relax in your room and fresh yourself. Overnight on board.

Morning activities:

• Wake up early and get the new day amazingly on the bay. Enjoy the sunrise over the bay and have a cup of tea or coffee. Have breakfast in the fresh air.
• Continue the cruise trip to Cong Dam area and have more chance to explore and see the beauties of Bai Tu Long Bay.
• Cong Dam lagoon and geological park is the ideal place for do kayaking and get more enjoyment.
• Have BBQ lunch on a wild beach. (Depend on the weather)

Afternoon activities:

• Afternoon is the free time on board while the junk sails to Cong Do area. Here you continue the trip to visit Hon Co Island to explore the well- hidden Thien Canh Son cave.
• After that you back the boat and cruise back to Cap La.
• Have dinner at restaurant onboard.

Evening activities:

In the evening you spend your free time on board and discover Bai Tu Long Bay beauties at night. Overnight on board

Morning activities:

• Have more chance to see the sun rise over the bay. Have breakfast on board. Then the cruise sails to Vung Ha area where you are on a rustic rowing boat to visit famous of floating village Vung Vieng. Here you will know how the local fisherman daily life…
• Check out of the cabin and the cruise towards the harbor while having an A la carte lunch on board.
• Disembark the harbor at noon time.

Afternoon activities:

Being picked up at Hon Gai harbour and transfers you return Hanoi. Stopover at Yen Duc village after 2-hours drive where you enjoy water puppet show performed by local artists. (Note: This is for travel on shuttle bus, if you travel on private car will not stop at Yen Duc village)

Arrive in Hanoi at 17:00 pm. Check in Hotel (Overnight in Hanoi)

After breakfast you are free at your leisure until our guide and driver meets you at the hotel lobby. Then transfer to the airport for your flight.
