Pu Luong and Mai Chau trekking tour

Morning activities:

Start your trip from Hanoi at 7.30 am with our guide and driver and travel to Mai Chau. Daydream as we drive a safe route with spectacular views around every bend. Upon arrival at Pom Coong village in Mai Chau, you will take a short walk to visit the ethnic Thai people, Have lunch at local home in Poom Coong village.

Afternoon activities:

Around 13.00 pm you start to take a short drive (15 minutes) to the Sai Village of Pu Luong Natural reserve.
From here you will start a 2 to 3 hour walk through beautiful hill side villages, magnificent rice paddies, seeing hand crafted bamboo water wheels. The highlight on this walk is experiencing the beauty of Pu Luong Nature Reserve, the everyday life and culture of the white Thai people. Become a part of local life when we are welcomed as honored guests at a traditional Thai home on stilts.

Evening activities:

You arrive in Hang village late afternoon, check in homestay. Have dinner with the family by local foods. Overnight at stilthouse and have chance to interact with local family.

(Special remark: Homestay can be a share long house and separated by mattress or can have a private room. However, you will have a share bathroom) Homestay in Hang Village.

Morning activities:

It will be interesting for you to get up and observe, or even take part in their activities in the morning because the daily life here starts early. Take an opportunity to stroll around Hang village before having breakfast served by local family.

Then you start to have the walking and trekking approximately 5 to 6 hours. The first hiking is hard with some steep climbs and yet more stream crossing, the next is really glorious with beautiful views of valley, rice terraces, rich rain forest, streams… You have a picnic lunch on the way at Eo Ken village.

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon you continue the trek through path of villages. The setting of the village is perhaps the most beautiful in Vietnam. It is recommended to stroll round the village and join in as villagers go about their daily lives, or relax in one of the three Eco home-stays superbly set up by FFI (Flora and Fauna International) in conjunction with local villages. Please be soft and nice, nature is just very lovely here. Arrival in Kho Muong village in the afternoon.

Evening activities:

You check in homestay on arrival, receive a warming welcome from the family. Have dinner with the family by local foods. You spend our second night in a typical Thai eco – stilt house. Homestay in Kho Muong village.

Morning activities:

Get up early in the morning and enjoy the fresh atmosphere in the village. After that you continue your trekking to explore the diversity of nature, local culture, minority community at different villages in the National park. The trekking route is the chance for you to get more experiences and wonderful view with much impression.

Today is also the time for you to trek around 5-6 hours through forested mountains and rice paddies. There are plenty of opportunities for you to take photos of the villages down the valleys while we trek on the high mountain slopes. Have picnic lunch en route.

Afternoon & evening activities:

This afternoon you arrive in Hin Village late afternoon where is located among a large valley. Check in homestay. Also, the homestay is beautifully located right on the rice field with great view of the surrounding mountains. Have dinner at the family and overnight at stilthouse Homestay in Hin village.

Morning activities:

Have breakfast at homestay. Spend more day to discover the hidden of the national park and different villages trek route to get deeper experience local life and natural beauties. You have more time to experience and trek on a karst mountain through dense forests and villages from Hin village and pass through Muoi village and Ba village to reach Ton Village. Today you have around 5-6 hours on trekking time. Have a picnic lunch is en route

Afternoon activities:

This afternoon you leaving Pu Luong and coming back to the city, we are pretty sure that you get the feeling that you have done the right things for yourself and for the locals… And then the driver transfers you back Hanoi city and drop off at your hotel in Hanoi.
